This map was displayed at consulation meeting held at Pride Park Stadium on 25 July:
The map shows the Velodrome as a grey shape middle left with in red a 1.75 KM cycle track which will be 6 metres wide. This now goes over the area of rough ground at the NW corner and then runs along the Reserve perimeter by the river. There is also provision for a Mountain Bike area as well between the track and the mound (this was the first time this has been mentioned).
The Sanctuary will shrink to the small section around the pond bottom left. The Mound is where all the toxic waste is stored from the contruction of Pride Park and cannot be managed.

The issues
- LOSS of the original grassland which has been untouched since the 1940s and was the original reason for the reserve
- LOSS of important "green wedge"
- LOSS of the important feeding stop-over for migrants such as Wheatear, Stonechat, Whinchat, Skylark and Meadow Pipit and breeding sites for Kestrel, Whitethroat, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Bullfinch and Greenfinch.
- LOSS of 2/3 of the only nature reserve in the City - will the Little Ringed Plovers stay?
- The cycle track is a good idea - it is just in the wrong place - why can't it be moved to Alvaston Park?
